Our 8 Week Intermediate pottery course is a great way to elevate your throwing practice from the basics to more advanced wheel techniques, such as throwing matching sets, throwing off the hump, and throwing larger pieces. Off the wheel, explore surface activation and texture, attaching multiple pieces (e.g. a teapot), plasticity management, and more.
This is a great option for potters who want to move past the fundamentals and stretch their technical skills.
— Basic knowledge of wheel throwing is required for this class; minimum age is 16 years old.
— Students will supply their own clay. If not purchased at Belltower, documentation (receipt, packaging, etc.) must be provided to ensure it is a mid-fire clay body.

Preparations for Your Class
Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your first class.
Make-up classes are not available for any missed sessions, but we will make sure you are caught up and good to go at your next class.
Please feel free to bring any food or drink items with you since we will be meeting during dinner time.
There is no need to bring any tools or materials to our sessions except for clay. Belltower will provide all other necessary tools.
Please trim your fingernails before class. Uncut nails will make the entire process of shaping your pieces difficult, if not impossible.

If you won’t be able to attend the class you signed up for, send us an email at least 14 days before your first class date, and we will happily provide you with class credit for a future date.
