Underglazing Pieces Made By Kelsey
Sunday 5/17, 1-3pm
This workshop is part of a specialty class series presented by Kelsey Berry and Belltower Studio. The class is at Belltower, 529 S Highland St. Memphis, TN 38111. All levels of pottery experience are welcome, even if this is your first time!
In this paint-a-piece workshop, each student will paint underglaze colors onto one of Kelsey’s own pots. When you sign up, you’ll be able to choose between a vase, lidded jar, or mini casserole dish. This workshop is the most family-friendly edition of the class series. Come have fun in the studio creating your own version of Kelsey’s pots; who knows, maybe she’ll use your design in the store next!
After your class our team will clear glaze and glaze fire both of the pieces you paint on. They will be ready to pick up at Belltower about 3 weeks after the class.
No experience is required for this class - Minimum Age - NONE.
Preparations for Your Class
Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your class.
Clay easily washes out of clothes, but we suggest wearing clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting messy.
Please trim your fingernails before class. Uncut nails will make the entire process of shaping your pieces difficult, if not impossible
Parking
Please feel free to utilize the full parking lot beside and behind our building. Weekends can make parking difficult, due to the heavy bar traffic. In addition to bar traffic, we are roughly 100ft north of the train tracks on Southern. For these two traffic reasons, we strongly encourage students to plan to arrive 15 minutes before their class.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens, we get that! If you won’t be able to attend the class you signed up for, send us an email at Anna@belltowerpottery.combefore 48 hours to your class date. Unfortunately, we cannot provide credit for a no call no show, and all changes must be submitted 48 hours prior to the class date.
Tardiness Policy
There are a lot of steps involved the process of creating pottery; for that reason, we are unable to catch up students who arrive more than 15 minutes late to their class. Tardy students are not eligible to move their class to a later date.
