Theme: Minecraft and Mini Worlds
July 13 - 17, 2026: 9am-3pm
Ages 7 and up.
Location: Harding Academy (1100 Cherry Rd. Memphis, TN)
Campers will spend a fun week playing games and making projects that revolve around the design and creation of their own miniature worlds. From tiny cities and secret islands to castles and creature habitats, this camp is inspired by the creative freedom of Minecraft (but perfect for kids who’ve never played, or just want to create their very own world out of clay).
We will work on 2-D ideation and 3-D clay projects that will include basic hand-building techniques as well as wheel-throwing fun. Over the course of the week, kids will learn a variety of ceramics skills and get hands-on experience doing wheel throwing, hand building with clay, glazing their pieces, as well as a variety of art and craft projects and other active games.
Each day kiddos get a chance to practice these skills and build projects that will be fired and finished after class is over for later pickup. Campers will also get a tour of the working studio to see how the kilns work and how the studio runs.
—
At Belltower, we believe that art is important and kids need the opportunity to work with their hands, get dirty while having fun, and make something they can be proud of.
There will be a ratio of 6 kids per teacher or assistant. All teachers will have experience working with children and/or pottery.
***You must fill out the registration form and pay online by following the link in the shopping cart (top right of webpage) in order to be registered for this class.
