Shelby Farms - Pottery in the Park
This class purchase covers one child with parental assistance
Saturday April 11th, at 2pm
Bring your family out to the park for a spring clay day! We’ll be doing a handbuilding pottery class where we teach you how to coil build one bud vase in time for all your favorite blooms! This is a casually paced class designed for you to work together with your kiddos on the project. It’s a process with plenty of room for playful creativity, and you’re sure to create some uniquely whimsical pieces!
We’ll have an included iced coffee bar for adults that attend, as well as lemonade for the little ones!
The duration of this class may range from 30-60 minutes depending on the age of your kiddos. After your class our staff will dry, bisque fire, glaze (with your color of choice) and glaze fire your bud vase. It will be ready to pick up 3-4 weeks after your class. Please note, no painting or glazing occurs during this class.
No experience is required for this class - Minimum Age - 4 years old.
Preparations for Your Class
Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your class.
Clay easily washes out of clothes, but we suggest wearing clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting messy.
Please trim your fingernails before class. Uncut nails will make the entire process of shaping your pieces difficult, if not impossible
Parking
Please feel free to utilize the full parking lot in front of the visitor center at Shelby Farms. Because of heavier weekend traffic, we strongly encourage students to plan to arrive 15 minutes before their class.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens, we get that! If you won’t be able to attend the class you signed up for, send us an email at Anna@belltowerpottery.combefore 48 hours to your class date. Unfortunately, we cannot provide credit for a no call no show, and all changes must be submitted 48 hours prior to the class date.
Tardiness Policy
There are a lot of steps involved the process of creating pottery; for that reason, we are unable to catch up students who arrive more than 15 minutes late to their class. Tardy students are not eligible to move their class to a later date.
